Information we make routinely available

The University Hospital of South Manchester routinely publishes information about us, our spending, our priorities, our decisions, our policies and procedures, information in lists and registers, and about our services. This section helps you to find that information.

Within the sections below is detailed how the information is made available and this could be one of the following:

Available on the website: links to the appropriate pages are provided.

Available on request: these documents are available via the Information Governance Manager, contact details on previous page.

Available to view: Information of this nature is only available by visiting the Trust.  Again, initial contact should be via the Information Governance Manager.

Categories covered:

Who we are and what we do: Organisational information, structures, locations and contacts. Profiles of our Executive Directors and Management Board members and information about how our organisation fits into the NHS structure.

What we spend and how we spend it: Financial information relating to projected and actual income and expenditure, procurement, contracts and financial audit. Our financial statements and budgets, and information about our pay and grading structure is included in this section.

What our priorities are and how are we doing: Information about our strategies and plans, performance indicators, audits, inspections and reviews. Our corporate plan and annual reports are included in this section.

How we make decisions: Decision making processes and records of decisions. Public consultations, minutes of senior level meetings and internal guidance are included in this section.

Our policies and procedures: Current written protocols that we follow when delivering our services and responsibilities. This section includes our policies and procedures for Health & Safety, for risk management, including clinical risk.  Our policies and procedures for human resources  and our complaints policy are also included in this section..

Lists and registers: Information held in registers required by law and other lists and registers relating to our functions. This section includes our capital asset register and list of main contractors.

The services we offer: Advice and guidance, patient information leaflets, press releases and briefings are included in this section together with a description of the services we offer.
