The Wards

These wards provide care for patients before and after they have lung/chest surgery. They are mixed sex wards; however, they are made up of single side rooms and male and female 4 bedded bays.

The visiting times are 2 till 5pm 6 till 8pm.

Why can visitors not come at any time?

Although we appreciate that visitors are important to you, as coming into hospital can be a very stressful time, it is also important that you and other patients get periods of rest. We also need time to carry out your medical care. If it is difficult for your visitors to come at the correct times, please speak to the nursing staff who will try to find an alternative.

Can children visit?

It is not recommended that young children visit the hospital, however on some occasions, arrangements can be made - please speak to the nursing staff

Can I have flowers ?

Unfortunately we do not allow flowers on our wards for Infection Prevention reasons.

Location

The wards are located on the green route corridor - see this map for its location.

If you are arriving by car, you should park in either Car Park A (the main car park at the front of the hospital), or the Outpatients car park.
