Directions

To get detailed directions and a route map to the hospital, click on this link, enter your postcode as the start point and M23 9LT as the destination point. 

From North and West: exit M60 at junction 5, head south on A5103.
From South, exit M56 at junction 3.
From East, exit M60 at junction 3, follow M56 to junction 2.

Then, from all directions, take A560 towards Altrincham. Turn left into Southmoor Road and continue to follow this until you reach the hospital.

Parking Information

There is only a limited amount of parking space available at Wythenshawe Hospital which must be shared by staff, visitors and patients.

If you have to make many visits to the hospital in a short space of time, please ask a member of staff about special tickets.

Car Parking

The main visitor car park is located in front of the Acute Block. This can be accessed from Southmoor Road, which leads to the main Hospital access road. This is the main visitors car park and A&E, Main Outpatients and the majority of the clinics are located close by.

There are two other car parks for visitors. One is located in front of the new Clinical Sciences Building which is at the Floats Road end of the Hospital approach road. The other is located on the South side of the Hospital. This is the main car park used for visitors to Maternity. This can be accessed by following Floats Road around the Hospital.

Blue badge holders

Parking for blue badge holders can be found next to the main car park in front of the acute block. There is also some parking alongside the entrance to main outpatients, which is located along the Hospital Road. Further spaces can be found at the car park at the Floats Road end of the Hospital Road.

Parking is free for the disabled, volunteers and parents with children on overnight stays.
A £2 ticket with no time limit is available for those having long medical examinations.
A ticket with six credits is available for frequent visitors for £6.
