Central Manchester governors

Harry Lowe

"With over 30 years as a GP, and a governor for the past 3 years, I understand the structures and governance of Foundation Trusts. I have been active in Membership and Patient Experience committees and chaired the Health Care Standards Committee. I have represented the Trust at the National Governors Association."

"The next 3 years brings an opportunity to re-evaluate how governors can ensure that their input is considered when the Trust formulates its strategy. Governors must challenge yet maintain good relationships so that our hospital becomes a benchmark for the NHS!"

Gill Reddick

"I have been actively involved in the Healthcare Commission Standards Committee, the Patient Experience Committee and the Governor Group participating in the appointment of the Chief Executive. I have represented patients/members’ interests during inspections of hospital hygiene, cleanliness and food standards."

"I have put the patients’ point of view to managers responsible for outpatients and hospital signage. UHSM is moving towards new goals in 2015 enhancing the quality and reputation of its patient care."

" I have been until this year a magistrate and school governor for more than 30 years, and have skills and experience in working in complex organisations, getting the best out of situations, and helping sort out problems."
