“This annual community event started in 1922, making next year our 90th anniversary! We welcome those who come from the surrounding areas to join us and have a fantastic time out, to celebrate and help us make Gatley Festival a great success and raise money for local causes."

New UHSM members recruited at Gatley Festival
Representatives from UHSM recently took part in Gatley's annual festival, using the Academy's Skills Bus to demonstrate first aid and recruit new members for the Trust.
The bus took part at the head of the parade, and then parked up at the festival arena. As you can see from our photograph above, Governors set up a stall where they worked hard to explain the services available at Wythenshawe and Withington Hospitals to potential new members. Meanwhile, inside the bus, UHSM skills tutors were on hand to demonstrate basic clinical practices and procedures undertaken by our doctors and nurses.
