Annual Henri Moussali Award
On Friday 11th March, we held our annual Henri Moussalli prize giving event to congratulate the 2009/10 winner of the Henri Moussalli Award.
Mr Robert Moussalli, presented John Lewis vouchers, and a bottle of Champagne to Dr Vashist Sekar, who was a Clinical Research Fellow in the Academic Surgery Unit during 2010, and whose winning lecture was entitled “Selected Depictions of Medicine & Surgery in Art”.
The presentation was then followed by the Henri Moussalli Lecture 2011. Mr Ben Bridgewater, Consultant Cardio-Thoracic Surgeon spoke on “Medical Professionalism & Revalidation”. This was a very thought provoking and interesting lecture; enjoyed by representatives from a diverse range of specialties.
We are now in the process of organising the next cohort of trainees who will compete for the 2010/11 Henri Moussalli Award.
