Data Quality & Clinical Coding
Data Quality
The Data Quality team is responsible for ensuring that data entered into the hospital Patient Administration System and other hospital systems adhere to national requirements for data completeness, accuracy and quality. The Data Quality team find missing data and produce error reports for correction.
Clinical Coding
Clinical Coding is the process of collating information about an admission (such as the diagnosis, procedures, and so on) from the casenotes and coding to it in internationally and nationally recognised coding classification, formats and standards. The data is required by the Department of Health and is used for research, finance, epidermilogical studies and measuring performance.
