Medico Legal

The Medico Legal department provides information about medical treatment to patients, police and other official bodies. We also process third party litigation requests from solicitors under the Data Protection Act 1998/Access to Health Records Act 1990.

Information is supplied in various ways – verbally, providing copies of medical records/x-rays or viewing records (with a member of staff present) within the hospital. Please note, there is a charge for this service in line with the relevant Acts.

If you wish to access your medical records or if you are a legal representative of a patient, you can make a formal request for consideration to the Medico Legal Department:
