Physiotherapists are concerned with human function and movement and maximising its potential.

We are based at Wythenshawe Hospital but some outpatient services are provided at Withington Community Hospital and at the Disablement Services Centre, also in Withington.

We treat patients in the following areas: acute medicine, cystic fibrosis and thoracic medicine, emergency department, falls prevention, mental health, paediatric, obstetrics and gynaecology, outpatients, musculoskeletal (e.g. joint and muscle conditions), occupational health, assessment and treatment of the elderly, rehabilitation including stroke, cardiac and amputee, pain management, surgery, including cardiothoracic, transplant, burns and plastic, orthopaedic, hand surgery, and general surgery.
