“UHSM has introduced a new digital imaging system. The Picture Archiving and Communications System (PACS), is a network of computers that store digital medical images, enabling staff in different locations to look at the same scans at the same time, to view scans from outside the Trust and to send images to colleagues in other health organisations.”
Radiology provides imaging services for the Trust and direct access imaging for GPs and other hospitals. We provide a range of diagnostic imaging as well as interventional procedures and undertake an average of 192,000 images per year.
We put an emphasis on evidence-based practice and undertake a range of research work.
Patients will receive information sheets with their appointment letters.
