Visiting a relative

If you are visiting a friend or relative we want your experience of visiting us to be a positive one. If you need any extra help prior to, or during your visit we are happy to help. Detailed patient information about visiting UHSM is available in this leaflet.

Concierge Service

The concierge team will assist and support you during your hospital visit.  They are available to contact at the main entrance and outpatients entrance or can be bleeped through the hospital switch board.  The concierge team is part of the Patient Liaison Service and they work closely with the volunteer service to co-ordinate transport, wheelchairs, car parking, feedback, way finding and general patient information.

Concierge is available from 8am to 5pm during weekdays via the switchboard (please ask for the concierge). If you have an urgent query outside hours, please leave a message with concierge on 0161 291 2503 (confidential), with Patient Liaison on 0161 291 5600 (confidential), or email pls@uhsm.nhs.uk.
