Patient Support
Our patient support volunteers, all of whom have themselves undergone some form of open-heart or vascular procedure, visit cardiac wards and clinics at Wythenshawe Hospital on a near-daily basis to offer non-medical advice based on their own experience as patients.
Visiting times on the wards are currently:
F2, F5, F6 & Jim Quick, all beds - Mon, Wed, Thurs & Friday mornings
F6 dayroom, new admissions - Sunday to Thursday afternoons
Outpatient clinics – Tues, Wed & Thurs mornings
In addition Club representatives are available to talk to patients at the earliest possible time. Our input can start as soon as a patient is diagnosed and placed on the waiting list.
