Focusing on clinical and academic strengths

Our major research programmes focus on clinical and academic strengths.

We lead collaborative research programmes in breast cancer, respiratory disease, fungal infection, cardiovascular, burns and plastics, medicines management and medical education and contributes to several other major research programmes across Manchester.

Research programmes include:

  • Greater Manchester Cancer Programme
  • A programmed investigation of obstructive and parenchymal lung disease
  • Invasive Fungal Diseases
  • Multidisciplinary research on coronary artery disease, stroke, paradoxical emboli and cerebral injury
