Media enquiries

Office hours During office hours (Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm) all media enquiries should be directed to the Communications Team on 0161 291 5450 or 0161 291 5816.

Out of hours

For out of hours enquiries please contact the Duty Manager via switchboard on 0161 998 7070. For non-urgent enquiries, please email and this will be dealt with the following working day.

Patient confidentiality

We are committed to protecting patients’ confidentiality. We cannot provide any information about a patient unless we are given permission from the individual or their next of kin.

Condition checks

We are able to give a basic condition check to the media where a named individual has been identified and the patient or their next of kin has given consent for this information to be released. Requests for condition checks should be made to the Communications Team via 0161 291 5450 or 0161 291 5816.

Filming, photography and interview requests

Requests for filming, interviews or photography at one of our Trust sites must always be made through the Communications Team. Please call 0161 291 5450 or 0161 291 5816.

Location filming requests

If you would like to film in a general ‘hospital environment’ for documentaries or dramas, please contact Jan Owen in the Fundraising Department on 0161 291 5961.
